Pitch Marketing Group wins landmark account with cinch

Pitch Marketing Group has won a competitive pitch process to become cinch’s retained sponsorship activation agency with responsibility for activating the innovative brand’s roster of high-profile sports partnerships across cricket, football, tennis and rugby.

cinch, the UK’s fastest-growing online used car marketplace, has already made a big impact since launching in October 2020, with a national ad campaign featuring family favourite TV star Rylan Clark-Neal, and by signing a number of high-profile sponsorship deals with Tottenham Hotspur, Northampton Saints, the LTA for the cinch Championships, and most recently with the ECB, as Principal Partner of England Cricket.

Pitch’s role will be to leverage cinch’s investments in its portfolio of sports properties to drive further brand awareness of cinch as the faff-free way to find and buy a used car, and to accelerate business growth.

The new business win is a significant milestone for Pitch’s specialist sponsorship division, Pitch Partnerships, which will activate cinch’s portfolio of partnership assets through an integrated marketing approach that incorporates creative services, branded content production, PR, social media strategy and immersive events and experiences – all with a view to reaching the biggest possible audiences, beyond the sports fan.

Chris Allen, Managing Director at Pitch Marketing Group said:

“Not only is this a huge win for Pitch Partnerships, but the agency as a whole, with a remit that extends into our specialist PR and content production teams as well. cinch’s ambition and portfolio of sports partnerships give us the unique opportunity to create end-to-end marketing campaigns that span numerous sports and events. As an independent, entrepreneurial agency that prides itself on reaching the biggest possible audiences, our approach matches with cinch’s ambitious growth plans, and it feels like a great partnership already. This news has marked the strongest start to the year we could have hoped for.”

Robert Bridge, Chief Customer Officer at cinch, said:

“We’re excited to partner with Pitch Marketing Group and activate their standout creative ideas. While the pitch process was highly competitive, with impressive responses from all the agencies involved, we felt Pitch best suited the cinch ethos of doing things differently with some really fun and engaging ideas to reach the biggest possible audiences, both at home, and in front of fans, home or away. We have big ambitions and we’re now well into writing the playbook for how our sports partnerships can play their part in achieving them.”
