Pitch hires Rebecca Martin as Deputy MD

Pitch Marketing Group has appointed Rebecca Martin as Deputy Managing Director. This is a new role within the agency and marks the latest development in a series of new hires and client wins this year. Rebecca, who joins Pitch from O2, will form a new leadership team for the independent, integrated agency, working alongside Pitch’s Managing Director, Chris Allen.

During her four years at O2, Rebecca held a number of senior positions within the brand’s marketing and sponsorship teams, including Head of Sport Sponsorship and most recently as Head of The O2. Her previous experience includes a leadership position at Fuse, Omnicom’s sponsorship agency, and an in-house role at Barclays within their sponsorship team. Earlier this year, Rebecca was appointed as a Board Director for the European Sponsorship Association, in recognition of her standing within the industry.

A key part of her new role at Pitch will be to head up the agency’s rapidly growing sponsorship division; Pitch Partnerships, whose current clients include bold emerging brands such as cinch, as well as established global brands such as Gallagher, LG and Pokémon.

In addition, she will oversee Pitch’s continued efforts to creating a more balanced and diverse working environment, particularly through its Changemakers programme which was launched in 2020 marking a commitment to a number of D&I and mental health initiatives. Rebecca will also be tasked with developing the agency’s brand and recognition in the wider creative marketing industry.

Henry Chappell, Founding Partner of Pitch Marketing Group, said:

“Following a great first half of the year, and as we start to return to more normal agency life, we are delighted to have appointed Rebecca in what is a crucial hire for our future growth plans. Her in-house experience from O2 will  help to enhance the effectiveness of our work, and her previous agency experience will enable the further development of our own agency culture and growth. She has demonstrated a huge passion and ambition for the opportunity at Pitch, and I am sure that together with Chris Allen she will create an inspirational leadership team.”

Rebecca Martin, Deputy Managing Director at Pitch Marketing Group, said:

“I’ve long admired Pitch’s creativity and campaigns and have always been impressed by the team’s ambition and ability to punch above their weight when it comes to the scale and calibre of their work. I’ve been particularly interested to watch them grow and develop over the last couple of years off the back of some big brand wins, particularly from a partnerships perspective. I’m excited by a return to agency life and our plans as a leadership team to keep up the momentum.”
