Pitch hires first Executive Creative Director, Ronaldo Tavares

Pitch Marketing Group has appointed Ronaldo Tavares in a newly created role of Executive Creative Director. The news follows a number of client wins and new hires since the agency became 100% employee owned in April 2023, including the recent appointments of Clara Biu as Non-Exec Director and Abi Russell as Head of Partnerships.

Ronaldo joins Pitch from M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment where he has been ECD for the past 2 years, leading on an array of award-winning integrated campaigns for the likes of the NFL, Adidas, Absolut Vodka, Dettol and Barclays.

Prior to M&C Saatchi, Tavares’ career includes Creative Director roles at prolific agencies such as Pablo London, Fallon London and McCann Global.

This hire is a key investment for Pitch Marketing Group and its partners and reflects a marked shift in the type of briefs the agency has been winning and delivering for the last 18 months. The growth in capability of its in-house content studio in particular has led to creative campaigns for the likes of Stonegate Group, EAFC, NatWest and BT Group.

Tavares will sit on Pitch’s leadership team alongside Managing Director, Chris Allen and will report to CEO Henry Chappell. He will be accountable for the creative output of the agency; building an inspiring creative culture, delivering award-winning client work and leading on new business pitches.
