Danone has recently appointed the sports specialist PR agency Pitch to help share the excitement of the Danone Nations Cup.

Now in its fourteenth year, the Danone Nations Cup world final will be hosted in this country for the very first time.

More than 2,500,000 boys and girls from across the world participate in the tournament on an annual basis. The initiative is built on the values of fair play, openness, sharing, and pleasure while encouraging children to believe in their dreams.

Zinedine Zidane, one of the world’s greatest and most iconic football players of all time is the tournament’s official global ambassador and will oversee proceedings when the world final kicks off at Wembley on Saturday, 07 September 2013.

The agency brings considerable experience to the table, based on an impressive body of work on leading UK and international sporting events. We have been very impressed with the results achieved to date.”

Henry Chappell, Chief Executive, Pitch said:

“The Danone Nations Cup is the biggest schools football tournament in the world, and one of the most successful legacy programmes in sport, having taken place every year since the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. This is the first time the world final has come to the UK, and with Wembley as the ideal venue, I’m sure it will be a great occasion. We’re thrilled to have been appointed by Danone.”
