Pitch appoints Mark Norcutt as ECD

Pitch Marketing Group, the Soho-based independent marketing agency, has announced the appointment of Mark Norcutt in the new role of Executive Creative Director.

Mark joins Pitch from a Creative Director role at Saatchi & Saatchi, where his 7-year tenure included campaigns for the likes of HSBC, Toyota, Visa and the European Tour. His wider career includes roles at the world’s top advertising agencies: Leo Burnett, AMV BBDO and JWT.

He will work alongside Founding Partner – Henry Chappell, Managing Partner – Adam Raincock, and non-executive Chairman – Ian Priest, to grow the creative offering of the business across its three divisions: PR, Partnerships and Productions.

Mark’s philosophy is simply to think differently and create ideas that people want to talk about – a philosophy that seamlessly aligns with Pitch’s ‘Be Distinctive’ mantra. His work has won multiple Cannes Lions on a wide range of clients, from McDonald’s, HSBC, Kellogg’s, BT, Smirnoff, Kit Kat and MTV.

Mark will be responsible for the creative direction of Pitch’s growing client roster, which now includes the likes of Beats, Hyundai, The FA, Red Bull, TAG Heuer, Virgin and BT Sport. In addition, he will play a focal role in pitching for new business, for which there is already a significant pipeline in place for February/March 2019.

Adam Raincock, Managing Partner of Pitch Marketing Group, said:

“Mark’s appointment in this new role is reflective of our focus on world-class creativity, and our plans for growth off the back of a great year. 2018 was the most successful in Pitch Marketing Group’s 15-year history. We won competitive global pitches, grew revenues from our existing client base and created our best ever body of creative work.

Hiring someone of Mark’s calibre with his level of expertise is reflective of the ambition we have as an agency, and is part of our ongoing strategy to invest in our creative product. His role will be to oversee the creative culture of the agency; from the way we work, to the campaigns we produce, and also to challenge us and our clients to be bolder and braver in our approach.”

Also joining Pitch this year is Pamela Nobile, who has been appointed in the role of ‘Head of Talent’ to bolster the agency’s training, diversity, culture and growth. Pamela joins with experience in both discovering and nurturing some of the best talent in the industry.  Over the course of her career she has worked in a variety of creative agencies including Hogarth Worldwide, JWT and Spark44.
