Pitch is responsible for driving the communications agenda for Canterbury across its range of products and for generating brand awareness through a principal focus on digital platforms.

What we were asked to do

Pitch was tasked with assisting Canterbury to achieve their goals via two different methods, traditional PR and social media. Some of the objectives included maintaining exposure for specified products, assisting and driving the launch of new product categories as well as raising awareness of events and promotional activity.

From a social media perspective, objectives included driving traffic and increasing the monthly unique users at www.canterbury.com, increasing the number of references to CCC products across influential blogs, promoting web exclusives, new products and launches across appropriate platforms, supporting investments in ‘Search’ and finally driving traffic through key social media channels

 What we did
  • Proactive press office to promote brand through product features and reviews
  •  Sponsorship announcements and kit launches, (e.g. England kit)
  • Celebrity product seeding
  • Development of digital campaigns
  • Guidance and support to Canterbury social media channels
 Results
  • The announcement of Canterbury as the kit supplier of England rugby team achieved widespread coverage (40+ items) across National newspapers (print and online), regional papers, international outlets, sports media, rugby blogs and sports trade media.
  • Increased Twitter followers by 15% within a month
  • Obtained over 3000 “likes” on Facebook over the period of a month.
