Pitch launches England's 2018 World Cup Bid with Beckham and Rooney at Wembley.
David Beckham and Wayne Rooney joined forces with the England 2018 bid team at Wembley on the 18th May to urge people throughout the nation to register their support for England’s bid to become the host nation of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
As the bid team formerly launched the campaign to bring the “Greatest Show on Earth” to England, the former England captain unveiled the official public support campaign which aims to get two million signatories backing the 2018 bid.
Having played in a total of 4 World Cups between them, Beckham and Rooney have both experienced the spectacle of the tournament first hand and are keen for the general public to play their part in backing the campaign for England to host the World’s most popular sporting event for the first time since 1966.
Pitch will now continue to undergo an integrated promotions campaign to raise awareness of the bid and build support throughout the nation.
