Pitch create stunning shoot of Danny Cipriani for Eden Park.
Following in the footsteps of three of his Wasps team mates, fashionable fly-half Danny Cipriani has signed a lucrative deal with the French, but unlike James Haskell and co, Danny has swapped his rugby boots for suits and ties and will be starring in a new campaign for French fashion label Eden Park.
After a tough year for rugby’s hottest poster boy, Danny has decided to ramp up his off pitch activity by signing a six month advertising and PR deal with the stylish fashion house founded by French international rugby star, Franck Mesnel.
Pitch created a set of stunning images to support the announcement shot by celebrated photographer Derrick Santini.
Franck Mesnel, Founder and President of Eden Park, said:
“Danny Cipriani reminds me a little of myself when I was younger, he is cheeky and irreverent off the pitch but his determination and dedication to rugby shines through when he is playing for his club and country. I am delighted to have Danny on board, he is dynamic and stylish and I am confident that he is the perfect fit for Eden Park.”
Eden Park, formed in 1987 by five former French international rugby players, has developed a strong following amongst the rugby fraternity. With its French elegance and line of casual chic clothing, the fashion house has signed some of the UK’s hottest rugby talent. Danny joins fellow international rugby players Danny Care, Ugo Monye, Delon Armitage and Tommy Bowe, who have also hung up their boots to model Eden Park’s new Spring Summer menswear collection.
Danny Cipriani said: “I love the cut and style of the Eden Park clothes and am honoured to be working with Franck Mesnel, he was a legend in his day and started up Eden Park the year I was born. Franck has proved that you can have a great career after playing rugby, maybe one day I can maybe follow in his footsteps and start a brand of my own.”
Danny will be wearing the Spring Summer 2009, EP, Town and Club House collections, comprising of a selection of luxurious suits, shirts, jackets and jumpers. Danny’s image will be plastered across billboards and bus stops around the country.
