David Beckham tells millions of fans about his first kiss with wife Victoria

Global superstar David Beckham today [Wednesday] revealed how he and wife Victoria shared their first kiss in a car park after a date at his local pub.

The revelation came as Beckham answered questions from fans from every corner of the world in the international event ‘The World Interviews David Beckham’, hosted by Yahoo! The worldwide interview, streamed live on Yahoo!, saw fans from 19 different countries across five continents pose their questions to Beckham over simultaneous video conferencing technology from Cisco’s TelePresence high definition video suites.

In a frank and humorous chat, the LA Galaxy midfielder also jokingly explained how he thought the former Spice Girl was stalking him at first and how a few glasses of red wine in the players led to eleven years of marriage and three beautiful children.

The England international also spoke openly about life at home, confessing that his dancing leaves his wife in stitches and how hours of practice with his children would make him an ideal professional LEGO builder if he was not a footballer.

Beckham told the audience how he has started to make plans for a life after football as this is “just the beginning”, but admitted that a job in football management is not something he is considering.

The lucky few fans that got to pose their questions had been selected from the Yahoo! network of nearly 600 million global users who had been asked to submit their question on Yahoo! Answers. The interview itself, which was streamed live worldwide on Yahoo!, saw Beckham spend more than 90 minutes answering a variety of questions.

“I want to thank Yahoo and everyone in the audience and around the world who submitted a question,” said David Beckham. “This has been just an amazing experience.”

Earlier this month, David Beckham signed a global sponsorship deal to serve as Yahoo!’s Global Sports Ambassador. The partnership brings together the world’s largest online media company and the world’s most iconic sports star to offer exclusive content only found on Yahoo! for Yahoo!’s coverage of the World Cup and the 2010/11 football season.

“David Beckham’s interview with fans around the world perfectly illustrates our vision of being the centre of people’s online lives,” said Elisa Steele, CMO of Yahoo! “Yahoo! has brought together millions of people from 19 different countries to gather questions for Beckham from our various properties and products. We’re delighted to have been able to host this, the biggest opportunity to engage with his fans yet.
