First Living Your Dream winner lives his dream for the day.

A seven-year-old boy from Glossop was treated to the experience of a lifetime this week when he met his hero, Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton.

Oliver Goodwin entered a competition run by retailer Marks & Spencer and the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team called ‘Living the Dream,’ which invites children to imagine and submit their dreams via a specially run website.

www.livingyourdream.com allows children to construct their wildest dreams using speech, creative writing and illustration computer technology before they are sent to the Living Your Dream panel who select the very best ideas to turn into reality.

Oliver became the competition’s first ever winner after he submitted his dream of racing 20 laps around a track of snow against his hero Lewis Hamilton, whilst encountering obstacles such as a ‘tunnel of doom’ and huge mud puddles on their way.

Oliver, a pupil at Simmondly Primary School in Glossop, travelled to London Woking, Surrey, to visit the McLaren Technology Centre on Friday with his mum Sally (33), dad Peter (35) and sisters Emily (six) and Charlotte (two).
