Pitch talks NBA Finals With “Big Shot Bob”

It’s not every day that you get to hang out with a 6ft 10in NBA legend but a classic NBA Finals is in full swing at the moment and that meant Pitch got to hang out with seven time NBA Champ, Robert ‘Big Shot Rob’ Horry. Robert was in London as a pundit for the Sky Sports coverage of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs (which the Spurs now lead 3-2).

To promote the NBA Finals, the day began with a journey to Talk Sport, where Robert educated former Scotland forward, Alan Brazil on the importance of the NBA Finals. After Horry’s debut on British radio came to an end, we returned to the Royal Garden Hotel on Kensington High Street to conduct some more interviews.

After scoffing down a breakfast that would satisfy a group of five men, Horry was good to begin his media activity.  The series of one-to-one interviews were wrapped up quickly just in time to hand over the table to a random and slightly bizarre couple. Step up Brian May of Queen and Youtube sensation PSY, who had our table reserved for 11am sharp! http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a488723/psy-teases-brian-may-duet-were-having-brunch.html

Pitch and Horry made the quick dash to Sky Sports News studios, where the NBA legend spoke eloquently to Natalie Sawyer and Rob Wotton, about his predictions ahead of the next game focusing on key match ups and just how to stop the four-time MVP, LeBron James.

The final activity of the day before the evening punditry kicked off was a coaching clinic at a local school in Isleworth, where “Big Shot Bob” implemented a much more rigorous session than the kids were used to!  Nothing beats “Tough Love” from a legend who’s won it all!
