NFL’s Newest Recruit Cheryl Cole Attends the Vikings vs. Steelers Game at London Wembley

Not only did we have the privilege of attending the NFL Game at Wembley last Sunday but we were also fortunate enough to be accompanied by some fantastic guests.

When the Minnesota Vikings took on the Pittsburgh Steelers it was a close call as to who was going to win. The fans were evenly split at the game, as were Cheryl Cole and her former boyfriend Tre Holloway who joined 85,000 fans as the NFL took over the home of English Football. Tre is big American Football fan and has supported the Steelers for years but for Cheryl this was her debut game and so she decided to support the opposition. She displayed her purple ‘CHEZZA’ Vikings shirt with pride and shared it with Instagram and her 4 million Twitter followers. Clearly she was a good luck charm for the Vikings as a thrilling finish saw them beat the Steelers 34-27.

Cheryl was quoted by Hello! Magazine as saying that the ‘razzmatazz before and during the game is great’ and she was certainly right. Tinie Tempah took to the pitch to perform before the game and was followed shortly by Gene Simmons who sang the American National Anthem. The Wembley suite was filled with celebrity stars and VIPs during the game including Jeremy Piven, Channel 4 NFL presenter Vernon Kay, and former heavyweight champion David Haye. David himself had the honour of participating in a longstanding Vikings tradition and blew the Gjallerhorn for the home team as they ran on to the pitch.

Stay tuned for the next Wembley game when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the San Francisco 49ers. The game will be broadcast live on Channel 4 and Sky Sports.
