Betfair Launches #GoodLuckVP Campaign ahead of Cheltenham Festival

Double Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton will star in the advert which encourages customers to get behind her Festival challenge

As Betfair’s Switching Saddles challenge with Victoria Pendleton reaches its final hurdle, today the online betting company unveils its new TV, print and social campaign featuring the double Olympic champion.

At an announcement earlier this week it was confirmed that Victoria Pendleton will ride in the Foxhunters Chase at Cheltenham on Friday 18th March.

Betfair’s #GoodLuckVP advertising campaign will debut on TV across Sky, ITV and Channel 4, and will feature in print and on social media on Friday 11th March and will run throughout Cheltenham Festival.

Betfair has launched the advertising campaign to encourage viewers to show their support for the Olympian on social media using #GoodLuckVP throughout the festival.

The Switching Saddles challenge was launched before Cheltenham last year, where Betfair and Pendleton announced their ambitious target to ride at Cheltenham 2016.

Switching Saddles was created collaboratively by both Betfair and Pitch PR with the aim of driving mass awareness of the Betfair brand during the biggest betting weeks of the year, and at the same time bring positive attention to the sport of horse racing.
